We have many opportunities for families to participate in the liturgy and music ministries. Here are the areas where your help is always needed with descriptions/details below:

Music
With all of our Masses on Saturday and Sunday each week, we always are looking for more people to volunteer in our music ministries — even as standbys, when someone scheduled is unable to make it. These areas of need include pianists, song leaders, organists, vocalists, and choir.
Children's Liturgy Leaders and Teenage Helpers
During the 9:00 and 11:00 am Sunday Masses, young children go to the parish hall for a liturgy given at their level, using arts and crafts for illustration. Adult leaders and teenage helpers are needed for both Masses. For teenage children's helper volunteers,
Lector of the Word of God
A lector is the person who proclaims the first or second reading at Mass. Any man, woman or young person in full communion with the Catholic Church and is serious about their faith may become a lector. Lectors are required to participate in a diocesan or parish formation process.

Ushers
There is always a need for members of the parish to serve as greeters and to assist with the offering. Ushers are needed for all Saturday and Sunday Masses.
Alter Servers
Special training is given to those who wish to become alter servers.
Eucharistic Minister
As need presents itself, the pastor can appoint anyone in full communion with the Catholic Church to assist with the distribution of the Holy Eucharist to the faithful. Upon completion of formation candidates are referred to as ‘Extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion’.
Mass Coordinators
We each attend Mass and accept that everything runs smoothly with little-to-no effort. That is because the effort is done behind the scenes by volunteers. They are responsible for ensuring that everything is available and right where it belongs whenever needed by the priest and those in attendance.
Greeters
These are the smiling people who greet you before each Saturday and Sunday Mass with flyers in hand and hand you your bulletin after Mass. For many newcomers to Christ the King, greeters are their first impression of our parish. If you enjoy meeting new people, being a greeter may be just the right ministry for you.
If you are interested in participating in any of these ministries that do not list a contact name, please contact Deacon Chuck Putbrese for more information.
