Matrimony is a covenant or partnership of life between a man and woman, which is ordered to the well-being of the spouses and to the procreation and upbringing of children. When validly contracted between two baptized people, marriage is a sacrament.

Christ the King offers a program in cooperation with the Diocese of Des Moines to assist couples in preparing for the Sacrament of Marriage. All couples planning marriage will be asked to give notice (six-to-twelve months notice is recommended) to the Parish. Call the parish office, 285-2888  for further information regarding this pre-marriage preparation program.

We also have married couples from our Parish who assist in the Diocesan Pre-Marriage Workshops or the Parish Sponsor Couple Program.
